He holds a PhD in Physical Oceanography from UPC and has directed a department at CIMNE, leading over 60 projects and contracts. He is an evaluator for AQUIB and GOIB, and has participated in oceanographic expeditions in the Mediterranean and Antarctica. Co-author of the Spanish Mediterranean bathymetric map, he holds two desalination patents and has founded spin-offs Hyds and FWN. He has received recognition from UPC and awards from the Agbar Foundation and Joan Roget.
