Recognition of work and excellence in the agricultural sector

The AgriTech Innovation Awards 2024 are intended to recognise the work, leadership and transformation of companies committed to innovation and sustainability and adapt in the agricultural world. For those that generate and develop new technologies in their crops, which is increasing the quality of their products and the efficiency of their farms, as well as helping to improve their management and long-term sustainability. Each of the categories focuses on different areas of business model, new products, equipment, operational processes, customer experience, circular economy, research and innovation.

 

The verdict will be delivered by a jury of industry experts in front of an audience of entrepreneurs and industry executives, offering the winners an unprecedented opportunity to share their work with the world by putting it in the spotlight on a world-renowned platform.

 

The AgriTech Innovation Awards 2024 will take place on 27 November 2024.

Best industrial product for field productivity by John Deere

This category will reward companies or their innovative technologies focused on improving the productivity of farms and field work.

Nando develops microbiological products that promote healthy and strong plant growth, enhance plant drought resistance and promote soil biodiversity. The beneficial microorganisms in “BioNPK Powder S” convert nutrients (N, P, K, Si) into plant-accessible forms and promote their uptake.

BioGreen Road introduces Poly-Water Plus, a 100% biodegradable moisture retainer that optimizes the use of water and nutrients in agriculture, especially in areas with water scarcity. Pulverizadores Fede presents its AIs System: a comprehensive agronomic solution for specialty crops based on image processing and Artificial Intelligence (AI). AIs, installed on the tractor, can “see” the state and vigor of crops by capturing images with 3D cameras with high level of detail and precise temporal resolution.

AICrop is an artificial intelligence-based platform that integrates internal and external company data to improve decision making in the agricultural sector. It provides real-time analytics, optimizing crop management and enabling more efficient planning.

Auravant is a digital agriculture 4.0 platform that enables farmers, companies and agronomists to make informed decisions through the analysis of geospatial data and the integration of systems, devices and solutions with a differential value proposition in precision agriculture and sustainability.

Best sustainable farm by Junta de Andalucía - Consejería de Agricultura

This category will reward farms that have a sustainability improvement project to achieve the objectives of the CAP and the 2030 Agenda.

Agrimarca is a leading farm in sustainable techniques, committed to quality and yield. They implement crop rotation through variable no-tillage, reducing the carbon footprint with innovative fertilizers such as those formulated with green hydrogen, such as Impacto Ø, generating in turn carbon credits with Agreena.

The National University of Quilmes presents a bait kit with biological agents for the sustainable control of leaf-cutter ants, one of the main agricultural pests in the Americas. The proposal consists of a biological control kit with two or three bait formulations that include fungal organisms with the capacity to kill the ants and the fungus on which they feed.

Ecometry is an advanced solution for the precise monitoring and control of NPK levels in the soil, enabling more efficient fertilizer management and reducing its environmental impact. With this technology, farmers can optimize nutrient and fertilizer use, and promote more environmentally friendly and profitable agricultural production.

Best farm in the use of new technologies by Mapfre

This category will reward farms that have already implemented new technologies in their cultivation, irrigation, harvesting processes, and ultimately in their production chain.

TUPL is developing an artificial vision system that allows cooperatives, orchards and growers to predict and meet production standards. Through this technology, critical parameters such as number of flowers, fruit set percentage, ripening stage and fruit size are quantified.

The Fixbean platform allows farmers and health authorities to detect and count pests in real time from the field, even offline, generating incidence maps and facilitating an agile and preventive response. This AI tool has proven its power in demanding conditions in geographic areas with different climates and difficult access.

APOLO Biotech is a biotechnology platform focused on developing innovative solutions for sustainable agricultural production. They provide answers to a growing demand for food worldwide, solutions that minimize environmental impact and risk to human health, reducing the use of synthetic pesticides.

This category will reward startups and emerging companies that offer the most disruptive solutions for farms and field work management.

AgUnity is a technology startup that enables digital inclusion and digital empowerment at scale for smallholder farmers.
